Itatim is known as one of the best climbing destinations in Brazil. It features hundreds of ‘Inselbergs’ (gneiss mountains) spread across the flat landscape of the ‘Caatinga’, a unique biome on the planet with amazing scenarios, fauna and flora. Two of the fifty brazilian classic climbs are in Itatim.


WEATHER / BEST SEASON
Dry weather, sunny and windy for most of the year. The climbing season is all year round, with June/October being the peak of dry season with desert scenery, and December/March the rainy season, with a entirely different green landscape. But even in this period it is possible to climb every day, as the rock dries quickly due to the constant winds that blow throughout the year. Temperatures ranges from 65°F to 90°F (18°C to 32°C).
